Fr. Norman Weslin has passed away

From Randal Caffery:Tom, Raymond Soileau just informed me that Fr. Norman Weslin died yesterday, 5/16 about 7:30pm. He had been suffering with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. He was living in Traverse City, Michigan. He was married before becoming a priest (was in the Army I think) and his wife is from Michigan so I'm sure he'll be buried with his wife. She died from a drunk driver hitting their car. He was arrested in the Notre Dame / Obama scandal which I think you may have seen it first hand. Raymond tells me some of the America's Party leaders knew...

Now we've got another sane, intelligent, sensible, only vaguely religious person giving us a peek of life on the other side... and boy is she ever convincing:_______________________________________________________________________ I felt no pain... I was struggling (drowning in a kayak)... at that point, I really did give-up my spirit over to God. I immediately experienced complete and absolute peace... calm... I had no pain, I felt great. And I was being held, and comforted, and re-assured as then my body was sucked-out of the boat (into the water) and my spirit peeled-away from...

The Chinese dissident at the centre of a diplomatic storm has told the ABC he now believes he and his family are in danger in China and he wants the United States government to get him out of the country. That's despite a deal between Beijing and Washington under which he left the US embassy in Beijing last night in return for guarantees of his safety. But Chen Guangcheng, who's in hospital in Beijing, says he now knows more about the danger he faces in China.
